Mary Vought
President & Founder
Mary Vought is the President and Founder of Leverage PR, a Washington, D.C.-based public relations firm she established in 2013.
With more than 19 years of experience in public relations, political communications, and crisis management, Mary has held senior roles on Capitol Hill. She served as Communications Director and later Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI). Prior to that, she worked in the U.S. House of Representatives for several Members of Congress and the House Republican Conference, where she developed media strategy for the entire conference.
Her expertise spans a wide range of domestic policy issues, including health care, government oversight, and disability advocacy. Her writing and commentary have appeared in The Washington Post, USA Today, New York Post, Fox News, and The Wall Street Journal.
A passionate advocate for the disability community—particularly for her youngest daughter, who has cystic fibrosis—Mary was appointed by President Donald J. Trump to the National Council on Disability and by Governor Glenn Youngkin to the Virginia Board for People with Disabilities. She is also a former fellow with the Independent Women’s Forum and the Claremont Institute.
Joe Koss
Director of Media Relations
Joe Koss is the Director of Media Relations for Leverage PR. He assists with managing clients and oversees broadcast media bookings, opinion and print piece placements, and critical media strategy. Before working for Leverage PR, he was the Digital Editor at Conservative Review, where he co-hosted and produced several videos and podcasts and helped manage the social media platforms.
Prior to that, he was the Communications Director for several state and national candidates and spent time working in the Michigan State House.
Joe is a graduate of the Ave Maria School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor and passed the Michigan bar. He then served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Charles T. Huguelet in Kenai, Alaska.
He and his wife homeschool their five children and live in Metro Detroit, Michigan. Joe is a youth hockey coach and the director of hockey operations with his local youth hockey association.
Caroline Woods
Senior Media Relations Advisor
Caroline is a seasoned communications professional with over a decade of experience across the public and private sectors. At Leverage PR, she supports client engagement through strategic media outreach—securing broadcast interviews, placing opinion and print pieces, and advising on messaging and media strategy.
Before joining Leverage PR, Caroline worked with a conservative public relations firm, served as Policy Advisor and Federal Liaison to the Governor of South Dakota, and took on contract communications roles supporting a range of clients.
Caroline spent nearly six years in Washington, D.C., where she was appointed to the Trump administration and served as Director of Communications for the Administration for Children and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She also held positions on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Assistant and Communications Director, and worked at another conservative public relations firm.
Her early career includes roles at a daily newspaper, the Georgia General Assembly, and a law firm. Her writing has appeared in The Blaze, The Federalist, National Review, and other outlets.
Caroline and her husband live in Rapid City, South Dakota, where they are raising their two children.
Brooklyn Robinson
Strategic Communications Manager
Brooklyn Robinson is a Communications Manager, where she assists with media strategy, pitching and booking clients, and supporting day-to-day press strategy.
Previously, she worked at The Heritage Foundation in strategic communications, where she served as assistant to the Vice President of Strategic Communications. In this role, she helped manage media and public relations projects, supported the execution of media plans, and contributed to message development aligned with the organization’s mission.
Brooklyn graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After graduating, she spent a year in Washington, D.C. She now resides in Orange County, California, where she is beginning this next chapter with her soon-to-be husband.
Aryeh Shudofsky
Senior Writer
Aryeh Shudofsky has spent more than a decade as a senior policy advisor and political writer.
He came to Washington, D.C., after working on Wall Street and in the alternative investment space. Aryeh has written pieces that have appeared in numerous leading publications, including the Financial Times, the Washington Post, and Newsweek. He lives in the D.C. Metro Area with his wife and four children.
